Closed temporarily for remodeling and a change of management, The Loockerman Exchange, now reopening as Leone’s Loockerman Exchange, was almost perfect for M and M Investigators to reinvestigate. No reports of unexplained fires since our last visit, however the reports of the shadows/shadow figures and general creepy feelings in the basements continue.
Our Researcher, Sara F. was able to uncover some handwritten deeds dating back to the late 1800’s showing the transfer of the Loockerman property/Priscilla Block Building to different owners, James M. Kerbin, James H. Hazel, David F. Burton and Robert H. Lewis. Sara was also able to discover court documents in the case of the State v. Isaac C. West. Mr. West was accused of and essentially confessed to the murder and horrible dismemberment and destruction of the body of Henry C. “Couch” Turner, in West’s room at the Kerbin building, in attempt to get rid of the evidence. The transcripts claim that in December 1872 Mr. Turner attempted to rob Mr. West and how Mr. West killed Mr. Turner. Mr. West then cut off the head and feet and skinned the body. It tells of how Mr. West put the skin in a bucket and tried to take it on a carriage to take it out of town but the horse smelled it and wouldn’t let him. When he tried to walk to find a place to bury the skin, dogs smelled it and chased him and the ground was frozen. So, Mr. West brought the bucket of skin back to his room. He continued to disfigure the body and buried the head near the corner of

OUR FINDINGS
As with M and M Investigators previous investigation at Leone’s Loockerman Exchange, we were not disappointed by the amount of evidence gleaned from the data collected from the investigation. After reviewing hours of video, four video clips were separated out, two with “flashy orbs”, one with an unexplained shadow and finally, one with an unexplained light anomaly. The “flashy orbs’ could possibly be dust as you can also see some dust floating through the video clips. The shadow occurred when investigators were either upstairs in the bar/dance area or outside. M and M Investigators has not been able to find a normal cause to the shadows that continue to show up at Leone’s Loockerman Exchange. Finally, the light anomaly also cannot be explained as there were no windows in the area, few reflective surfaces and no investigators in the room at the time.
An overwhelming number of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVPs) and as Matt has called them, Electronic Noise Phenomenon (ENPs) were collected during this investigation. Check out the new EVPs page to hear some of the best of these EVPs from Leone’s Loockerman Exchange.
Some of the most interesting data were the EMF fluctuations that occurred in the basement. Several investigators were working with the EMF and
Some of the investigators had the feeling of someone or something standing next to them while in the basement areas. Another investigator received impressions of a rose (possibly a name), women’s Victorian era black boots and hat. The sub-basement area is still an area of much speculation. There are no current plans to excavate this area now. Some thoughts are that there could be remains of a disagreeable, aggressive male that was buried in the sub-basement to get rid of him. The other thought is that slaves escaping toward freedom through the Underground Railroad died or were killed here. Understand, this is all conjectured, we have found no documentation to substantiate these feelings.
M and M Investigators says: with the data that we have collected on this investigation seeming to back up the data we collected on our first investigation, we have to uphold our previous decision that Leone’s Loockerman Exchange remains haunted.

This past summer we have had 2 investigations in which the homeowners elected not to have posted on the website. However, we did think they were worth mentioning.
The first was down in lower Maryland where our client had experienced some strange happenings such as bangs in the attic, unexplained lights, unexplained scratches and a full form of a woman. This woman dressed in a white nightgown seemed to walk the same path night after night. So we did our thing, with nightvision cameras, analog and digital voice recorders, thermometers, and the emf detectors. We discovered the home had a super high emf field and felt that this could have led our client seeing this woman. Some work had been done on the home and it seemed that the power was not grounded properly. The client vowed to get that fixed. We did however get some evidence in evp form, a video of an appearent shadow and another video of a strange light that we could not account for. We think that if the client would ge the power situation under control (which was underway at the time of the reveal) than the paranormal activity would diminish or totally go away.
The second investigation was up in northern Delaware where we were contacted by a concerned mother of 2, who described many different occurrances such as doors closing, a strange smell, scratches on the children, pinching, full forms of a boy and girl and a black figure that seemed to like to hang on doors. This black figure was described as having kangaroo type legs and an alien type head (like from the movie). When the mother called she talked so fast that it was hard to get a straight answer. We guessed that she was just happy to finally get someone to listen. Now she had had another group from Delaware in her home but the evidence came up short for various reasons. However, we did the investigation with the usual night vision camera, voice recorders, theremometers, emf detectors and a new addition K-II meter (2). We did find some evidence in the form of a couple evps, but nothing to explain the experiences that they had. Although, since we were there the activity has seemed to have slowed down and even have stopped. So maybe just telling her story and enpowering the mother to take control of her house may have been enough.
We know that the stories above are short and to the point, but if we give to much information it may give away the id of the clients. But the the clients thank you for allowing M-and-M-Investigators to help you help us.

During our tour, Lilly sensed the presence of two female spirits and a dog in the upstairs bedrooms. Upon speaking with the homeowner and his daughter, the dog seems to be the spirit of her recently deceased pet and the room that Lilly sensed the dog in was the daughter’s room – one of the original three bedrooms. Lilly also sensed a rocking chair moving that was no longer present in the room. In another of the original bedrooms Lilly sensed one of the female spirits who she said called herself “Vivian” and was dressed in what seemed to be 1900s style clothing. In the last of the original three bedrooms there seemed to be a somewhat confused spirit named “Hannah” who Lilly felt did not realize she was dead and could not understand why she could not communicate with the people currently occupying the home.
INVESTIGATION
M and M Investigators set up night vision cameras in all three of the original bedrooms upstairs and the four main rooms downstairs. A Hi 8 camera was set up to cover the kitchen and the other was started filming the well and then later was moved to cover the stairs to the second floor. Some investigators carried mini DVD cameras through the house during the investigation. Digital cameras were used to try to capture photographic evidence of paranormal activity.
Digital and analog voice recorders were set up in all three original bedrooms, two main rooms downstairs, and basement and were carried by some of the investigators in attempt to record Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVPs) and other unexplainable sounds. Electromagnetic Field Detectors (EMF) were used to sweep the house for fluctuations in the normal energy fields which could be indicative of paranormal activity. Non-contact thermometers were used to check for variations in temperature which also could be indicative of paranormal activity.
OUR FINDINGS
After careful review of all the data collected during our investigation, we found no video or photographic evidence of paranormal activity. However several EVPs were captured by the digital and analog voice recorders. Several of the EVPs were captured in rooms where investigators recorded anomalous EMF spikes. (Check out our EVP page to hear some of the best EVPs from this investigation.)
During the investigation, two of the investigators (at different times/unknown to each other) had a choking sensation in one of the original bedrooms. This may be a residual relating to how some previous occupant of the room died – pneumonia, lung cancer, Tuberculosis (consumption) – diseases still difficult to treat today, which frequently took people to their grave in the 1800s and early 1900s.
With the number of EVPs and the personal experiences of the two investigators, M and M Investigators says: Some paranormal activity – residual energies, most likely enhanced by the high-tension wires running between the house and the highway.

INTERVIEW
M and M Investigators was asked to investigate this local business and provide some explanations and education to the staff for the activity occurring here. Staff report hearing voices, music (mostly associated with the basement and third floors) and footsteps. Also, in one of the second floor offices, a desk drawer opens on its own and so does a door to the attic located in this same office. M and M Investigators learned that there was a history of Quija board use in this building and that the Quija board may not have been “closed” properly when the players were finished with it.
INVESTIGATION
M and M Investigators placed black and white night vision cameras in the basement and offices on the first, second and third floors. Hi8 cameras were placed in the first floor “living room” area and on the second floor stair landing. Digital cameras were also used to attempt to capture any paranormal activity in still photographs.
Digital and analog voice recorders were placed throughout the building and carried by the investigators in attempt to capture EVPs of the voices, music or footsteps the client reported. EMF detectors were used to monitor the electromagnetic field variations in the room. Non-contact thermometers monitored temperature variations.
OUR FINDINGS
M and M Investigators was able to debunk most of the reported activity. The music is most likely from the nearby Smyrna Opera House – practices and performances should be easily heard. Voices were very plain to hear from the sidewalk as people walked by the building during the investigation. The sounds of footsteps can be caused by temperature changes in the old hardwood flooring. The temperature changes causing the floorboards to shift slightly, creak and pop. The desk drawer in the second floor office is affected by gravity. The floor is not quite level allowing a small bump to cause the drawer to slowly open. And finally, the attic door, we were able to get it to pop open when we tested our theory that it would open with pressure changes such as occurred when an outside door was opened. We reviewed all the data collected during our investigation and came up empty-handed. We did not find any paranormal activity on this investigation. We only had one personal experience. Joshua, while sitting in one of the third floor rooms, felt cold chills up his back. An EMF sweep at the time showed a pulsing variation in the electromagnetic field from normal to very high. The cause was determined to be the charger for a decorative water fountain plugged into the wall behind the chair Joshua was sitting in.

INTERVIEW
M and M Investigators was contacted by a concerned family member of the Marydel homeowners. He gave us a little background information and the homeowners phone numbers so that we could contact them.
The homeowners report noting activity since the first day they moved into the house and that the activity can occur at anytime during the day or night. They have noted that the activity seems to be worse in the summer and winter months. There is not a place in the house unaffected by some reported paranormal activity. However the two “hotspots” are an upstairs back bedroom and the area downstairs directly below the Master bedroom. The homeowners, their children and grandchildren have all reportedly witnessed the paranormal activity in the home. Also, the dog will bark at the upstairs back bedroom and the foyer for no apparent reason. The activity seems to be centered around the grandchildren who live in the house. The homeowners report while painting one of the upstairs bedrooms, they took a break to come back and find footprints on the lid of the paint can and up the wall inside the closet. The soup cans have mysteriously made their own way out of the cabinet, across the doorway to the dining room and lined themselves up along the edge of counter next to the stove. One of the grandchildren had her hair pulled to the point where it broke the rubber band holding her ponytail and another grandchild was pushed out of a downstairs closet. Childrens’ toys that make sounds/talks, do so on their own. Temperature changes and feelings of being watched add to the family’s uneasiness in the home. A child has been heard crying when there are no children home, footsteps and the sounds of the doors opening and closing are said to be heard. The grandchildren report they used to talk to a “young girl” and a “mean boy” with red hair. The young girl said this was her house.
INVESTIGATION
M and M Investigators conducted our investigation of the residence on
Digital and analog voice recorders were placed in the “hotspots” and carried by some of the investigators. An Electromagnetic field (EMF) detector was used to sweep the residence for variations in EMF which may be indicative of paranormal activity. Also, a non-contact thermometer was used to measure temperature variations throughout the house. “Cold spots” or even an unexplained warm spot could possibly be paranormal activity. We also placed some talking/noisy toys around the house in attempt to entice the entities to play with them.
OUR FINDINGS
M and M Investigators captured no video evidence of any paranormal activity in the home either with the night vision cameras or the Hi8 cameras. A couple of the pictures taken inside the house appear to have possible paranormal activity ranging from orbs to a face peering in the window. (These pictures can be seen on a Ghostly Photos page.)
Several EVPs were collected on both the digital and analog voice recorders. We think one of the entities has been watching too many cell phone commercials because it asks, “Can you hear me now?” (This, along with many others can be heard on our EVPs page.) Only one anomalous EMF spike was noted and quickly debunked as being caused by the kitchen refrigerator running. Also, noted while it was running was an increase in the temperature of the wall the thermostat is on. This accounts for some of the cool areas noted in the house. No unexplained temperature variations were recorded.
Our medium, Lilly, showed the sketches she had done to one of the grandchildren who reports having seen the little girl and the mean boy. Upon seeing the sketch of the little girls face, the grandchild’s expression was one of happy recognition and an affirmative reply when asked if this was the girl was seen here. The grandchild’s expression was not so happy but still one of recognition when she looked at the sketch of the mean boy. Lilly and Matt were able to make a daytime exploration of the property and sensed that the boy has been connected to the property longer than the girl has and that even though he was a ghost, he may have caused her death in order to have a playmate. It is felt that the little girl drowned somewhere on the property, either in a well or drainage ditch that was full of water. During their daytime exploration of the property Lilly and Matt saw a shadowy figure moving between the trees and across the drainage ditch at times.

M and M Investigators says: This one is inconclusive at this time. There does seem to be some level of paranormal activity going on in the home but we were unable to capture enough evidence to make a conclusive decision. We do feel that the entities that seem to be here are able to travel inside and outside of the home at will. The homeowners have asked clergy to visit and bless the house in an effort to calm down the activity that is so disturbing.

INTERVIEW:
M and M Investigators was contacted by Patty in early November to help her confirm her suspicions that her home was haunted by a female spirit. Most likely that of a previous owner. Patty was able to give us a detailed history of the home. It had been built in the early 90’s and they were the third family to live in the home. Patty recalls the paranormal activity started almost six years ago and would occur throughout the day, at any time of year. However, the activity was more noticeable during holidays. The activity was reported in the kitchen, family room, stairs and upstairs bedrooms and had been witnessed by several members of the family and one of the two family dogs.
The activity reportedly seen in the house includes objects being thrown, shadowy figures seen upstairs, cold spots, sleep paralysis/old hag syndrome, banging sounds on the walls, the electric fire place comes on by itself, the door bell chimes with tunes that are not in it’s repertoire and things falling. Several people have witnessed on more than one occasion the kitchen trash can lid go flying across the kitchen. Others have witnessed the colander also go flying across the kitchen. The bedroom that had been used as the master bedroom by the original homeowners is the site of the repeated sleep paralysis/old hag syndrome episodes. Different family members have gone to sleep in this room, waking to the sensation of pressure and freezing cold starting at their feet and creeping up their bodies. The family has also had to replace the door bell chimes several times since moving in.
There is the possibility that the original couple that had the home built could be the reason for the activity. Patty was able to speak with a family member of the original owners and learned that allegedly, the husband was an abusive man who may have brought about the death of his wife. Although she did not die in the house, she died just a couple days later in the hospital. According to her family, the house seemed to have been the wife’s favorite place. After the wife’s death, the husband moved his girlfriend into the house within the week, distributed the wife’s belongings to his family members and collected a hefty sum in life insurance.
INVESTIGATION
M and M Investigators began our investigation at

An Electromagnetic Field (EMF) detector was used to check for variations in the EMF which could indicate possible paranormal activity. A non-contact thermometer was also used to monitor temperature variations which could also be indicative of paranormal activity.
OUR FINDINGS
M and M Investigators carefully reviewed the data collected on this investigation. We will limit our findings posted to the website to data collected that does not have video/pictures of the current homeowners to maintain their privacy. However, we can describe the paranormal activity.
On video, there was a strange pixilation noted around the arm of one of the investigators when she moved. This has not occurred before and we don’t have an explanation for it. There is another video that shows the family member of the original owners walking through the family room. As she gets closer to the Christmas tree, the lights get brighter and brighter. The original homeowner who died loved Christmas. There is also another video in this room showing a bright orb going across the ceiling and changing directions. However, this video also has the homeowner and original owner’s family member in it. The last video was caught when an unseen force pushed one of the investigators. The video has to be slowed down to see it well, but the investigator’s shirt indents as he is pushed. There was only one of the many digital pictures taken that could have paranormal activity in it. The picture shows a mist at the bottom of the stairs where the woman who originally owed the house may have landed after possibly having been pushed down the stairs. No evidence of paranormal activity was noted on the Hi8 tape.

The digital and analog voice recorders in the living room and the sunroom gave us a large number of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVPs). Everything from the standard “get out of my house” to “help me” and “you’ve been kind to me” (hear these and others on our EVPs page)
There were no EMF anomalies noted in the sweeps throughout the house. Temperature changes were recorded in the bedroom associated with the episodes of sleep paralysis/old hag syndrome. The variations were as great as dropping from 68 degrees F. to 58 degrees F in a matter of less than three minutes. This was accompanied by sensations of extreme cold and short episodes of sharp pains felt by the investigator lay on the bed in this room.
The investigator that was pushed in the family room was also touch on the top of his head while upstairs in one of the bedrooms. There were also radios both upstairs and down that came on by themselves and turned themselves off a couple of times during the evening. One of the investigators had her batteries drained in her camera and seems to have lost some of the video footage she had taken. When she returned home the camera was functioning fine.
Our sensitive, Lilly, had been in contact with the spirit of the woman for several days and with her guidance was able to walk the homeowners and family member through what she described as the original homeowner’s last day in the house, arguing with her husband, going through the house to different rooms to get away from him, possibly being hit and falling or being pushed down the stairs to die just a few days later in the hospital.
M and M Investigators says: We believe there is paranormal activity happening here. However based on the data that we collected during our investigation we can not say that it meets the criteria of a true haunting.

M and M Investigators conducted our investigation on the cool clear night of

Electromagnetic Field (EMF) readings and Non-Contact Thermometer readings were taken throughout the building in attempt to document EMF or temperature fluctuations that may be indicative of paranormal activity.
Our sensitive roamed through the hallways and offices to see and/or hear what would show itself and/or speak to her. Lilly has continued to stun and amaze us with the information she is able to pull out of thin air. We hope to be better able to help our clients with Lilly’s help.
OUR FINDINGS
M and M Investigators had an interesting night at R & R Realty. Upon review of the digital video, an orb was noted in a reportedly active office and two separate camera shifts were noted. (Remember the report of the spirits liking shiny things? Some of our cameras are shiny silver, others are black. Only the silver ones were moved!) The movement was away from the direction it should have been pulled if it had been the weight of the wire or the wire being pulled/tripped over. Also, the wires are taped down with duct tape to help prevent camera movement/damage. No one was in either of the rooms when the cameras were moved. One of the camera shifts takes place over an extended period of time (~ 2 mins.). Nothing was seen on the Hi8 cameras in the basement except dust. (See our videos page)
Approximately 500 digital photographs were taken during the course of the investigation. From that, only a couple had possible paranormal activity. Including what could be the tall dark figure reported by the staff at R & R Realty. (See our Ghostly Photos page to see him for yourself.)
Review of the digital and analog voice recorders proved very productive with a repeated sentiment to get out of their house, in what seems to be an Italian accent. The spirits were very talkative that evening. Along with the EVPs we obtained that evening, there were also a few audible disembodied voices heard by several investigators at the same time. There was a male voice that said “Hey!” heard by at least four investigators and a cat “meow” sound that was heard by three investigators. Strangely enough, the audible disembodied voices did not show up on the voice recorders. Obviously, grounds for more research! (Listen to the spirits on our EVPs page to hear some of the best EVPs captured that night.)
No anomalous EMF spikes were reported during the investigation. The cold spot in the closet of the reportedly active office can be from a couple of factors, being on an outside wall or the quarter inch separation in the plaster from floor to ceiling. That is not to say that we are ruling out paranormal activity as a causative factor. One other office was noted by different investigators to have moving cold spots at times during the night.
As for personal experiences, each of the investigators heard disembodied voices, breathing sounds, whispers. One even heard her named called but it was not by any of the other investigators! Our Lead Investigator was walking down one of the stairways when something passed her. She felt a cold breeze that went across her back and even blew her hair up. Shadows were seen – some that could be explained and some that could not. Finally, after having an uneasy feeling since walking in the door, one of our investigators was scratched on the shoulder. The inch and a half long scratch was gone by the next day. The shoulder on which she was scratched was 10 degrees hotter than the other and there was an EVP caught at the time of the attack to explain. (Give a listen on our EVPs page.)
Lilly felt the tall dark figure to be of Scottish decent, picked up the name Audrey or Aubrey in the first floor hallway, Alfred in the basement (who had been forgotten) and Leonard and Isabelle Wilcox. We are still trying to research these names to see what connection there is to the

Over the past couple of months we have had many investigations. Some of them had paranormal activity but a couple we were able to find other reasons for the creepy feelings that our homeowners were having. Below are mini write-ups for these investigations.
The first was in Milton, the homeowner had the feeling of being watched, heard voices and saw shadows. During the investigation we were able to dismiss the shadows as vehicles lights catching the glass and mirrors in her house and reflecting. She also had high EMF readings near her bed in her bedroom. She had also complained of headaches and a creepy feeling. However, the EMF spikes only occurred when more that 1 appliance was running at a time. For example, several air conditioners throughout the home would run at the same time and the EMF would spike for several minutes. The voices were a symptom of the EMF also. We thank the homeowner for the chance to investigate her home.
The second home was in Dover. The homeowner has experienced 2 deaths of family members over the past year. Our hearts go out to her. The homeowner had purchased a picture of a lighthouse scene and it made sounds like waves crashing and seagulls singing. But over the past month the sounds changed. The sounds got longer and deeper and not as sharp as it had been when first bought. She had the feeling in the house of not being alone and something evil. Our investigation started, and right away we picked up super high EMF readings throughout the home. On a wall, in the floor of the second floor. This EMF affected our investigators, feeling of sickness, and 1 of us even had a nose bleed. These feelings subsided after leaving the residence for a few minutes. After trying to explain EMF to the homeowner she seemed to be very receptive. Our analysis did not yield anything paranormal. Except for the super high continuous EMF. We contacted the homeowner and let her know our findings and gave some options. MMI put her in contact with other groups in the area to maybe get a second opinion. (which is everyones right to).
So we were able to find other reasons for the creepy and crawly feelings these two clients were having. Not every place we go is haunted or has paranormal activity, and if we can prove or even disprove a haunting, we say we had a great investigation.

M and M Investigators (M.M.I.) was contacted through our Lead Investigator, Vicki P. by a friend of hers regarding a business the friend had recently opened in
The second lady (Lady M.) explained she was carrying her tea pot down the hall toward the bathroom when a hand reached out of the wall to grab her. She walked right on by as if she hadn’t seen what she really did see. She continued to explain and show M.M.I. where store products have been moved on the shelves, how large glass jars (bulk seasonings and such) go from their contents being level inside the jars to unevenly distributed and sloped up one side of the jar. Several jars will do this and their contents will all be sloped in the same direction. One day they will be sloped to the front, the next day the contents will be sloped to the right side, the following day, sloped to the back and so on. Lady M. states they vacuum every night before they leave and they will find things on the floor in obvious places when they open in the morning, store products and coins are some of the items they have found. Shadows are seen, doors open or close by themselves especially when you are by yourself in the store. The electric goes off and on for no reason, the electric scale acts like it is in use when there is nothing around it. She complains of being tired after spending only a short time in the shop and has experienced a suffocating feeling at times. One morning when opening the shop, a single dusty boot print was seen on the floor in one of the rooms, several yards away from the basement door. However, the dust in which the boot print was made appeared to have come from the basement. Also, in the same room next to the boot print, a piece of equipment weighing 50 to 60 lbs was knocked over. The basement door is always kept locked and there is no access from outside into the basement. No one from the shop likes the feel of the basement – “it’s creepy!” or the closet right next to the basement door – “it’s oppressive.”
OUR INVESTIGATION:

An Electromagnetic Field Detector (EMF) and a Non-Contact Thermometer were used to measure EMF and temperature fluctuations which may be indicative of paranormal activity. Digital and Analog voice recorders were used in attempt to capture Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP). Voice recorders were placed in the basement, bathroom hallway and boot print room as well as carried by investigators.
OUR FINDINGS
There was no video evidence of paranormal activity despite more than forty hours of digital video and Hi8 video. Also with the hundreds of pictures taken during the investigation, only two had possible paranormal evidence. One of which would be too difficult to see on the website but the other appears to be a woman with long dark hair in a dress with a parasol. (Check out our Ghostly photos page to see her.)
There were no abnormal temperature readings noted during the night. We did notice that there were cooler readings and a slight draft at the accordion window fittings next to each of the air conditioners. Also, in the basement, temperature readings were running normal along with the rest of the building except for one spot that read almost 30 degrees hotter! It didn’t take too long to figure out that it was the hot water heater.
An EMF sweep of the building had been done early in the investigation with no anomalous readings at all. During a second EMF sweep, in which an investigator was attempting to provoke any spirits that might be in the building, the EMF detector gave a reading of > 5 mGauss in an area about three feet wide and six feet tall for just over six minutes. This occurred in the hallway between the basement and closet doorways. There are no electrical explanations for this. It was also associated with an EVP that sounded like it said to “Call me Mister.” I guess he didn’t like how the investigator was talking when trying to provoke the spirits! There were also some personal experiences had by investigators. While in the basement, Mike had his back about 6 – 8 inches away from the wall and Vicky was across the small room sitting on the stairs. While trying to get the spirits to interact with them, Mike felt and heard someone/something touch him on the back. It sounded just like someone taping their finger on the logo on the back of our shirts. All the hair on his arms and legs stood up at the same time he was touched. All three investigators could very plainly see the face in the monitor from one of the cameras upstairs. It was probably just “matrixing”, your mind making a pattern out of something you see in order to try to make sense of it, but we were not able to locate a definite source in front of the camera. When the video was reviewed the face was no longer there as it had been on the monitor. A couple of the large glass jars on the shelf that had been level at the start of our investigation were no longer level. There were three jars whose contents were sloped up the right hand side. The sound of a glass jar being tapped was heard on one of the audio recordings but the video did not show anyone or anything around the glass jars at the time. One other thing, we almost thought we had a spirit responding to us for a short time. We thought it was turning on the water in the bathroom and off real quick. Vicky was sitting in the hallway outside the bathroom and asking it to do it again. It did it! However the bathroom sink was dry. Then we considered it could be the toilet – sometimes they need to have parts replaced inside the tank and until that is done they will continually loose water. We thought this hiss sound could be the water refilling the toilet tank. We ruled this out when the lid was taken off the tank and water was made to fill into the tank. It made a similar but different sound. It took a while, but we found the source of the hissing sound that seemed to respond to our requests…it was the automatic air freshener set above the bathroom door on the inside. It was set to spray every 18 minutes. It had us going for much longer than that! Also, at the end of this investigation we were visited by a representative of the Harrington Police Department. We appreciate his stopping by to check on us to see if we were alright.
M.M.I. Says: There is some paranormal activity going on here. The EMF spike and related EVP as well as the investigator who was touched are compelling evidence toward the paranormal. However the limited photographic and nonexistent video data keep us from being able to say anything more than this.

Mr. C. said they have noticed the activity since moving in and report that usually it starts just after dark and can occur all through the night. Activity reported includes: a door from the living room to the unused side of the house that closes and locks on its own causing someone to have to take a circuitous path through the house to reach the other side. A little girl has been seen in the window of a second floor room and an old man in coveralls and wide-brimmed black hat has been seen at the top of the stairs staring into Mr. C.’s bedroom. He reports hearing “something” running around upstairs and “something” that comes downstairs at about

Digital cameras were used by several investigators to attempt to collect photographic paranormal evidence. Pictures were taken throughout the farm house and on the grounds outside.
Digital and Analog voice recorders were placed in various areas of the farmhouse such as the unused master bedroom, hall outside unused master bedroom, in the bedroom where the little girl is seen. Other voice recorders were carried by investigators.
Electromagnetic Field (EMF) and non-contact thermometer readings were taken throughout the farm house. A stationary digital thermometer was placed in the unused master bedroom. We set up a couple “staged” areas to see if we could get any of the entities to “play” with a ball, toy cars, a pendulum or paper and pen.
OUR FINDINGS
After many hours of reviewing digital video and Hi8 tapes M.M.I. were disappointed that the only thing to report were the occasional “dust orb”. No other paranormal evidence was captured on video during our investigation. The door that closes and locks itself did not move even with the changes in air pressure caused by investigators opening an outside door. There were also no unexplainable EMF or temperature readings. The Unused master bedroom was found to be of a comparable temperature with the rest of the rooms on the same floor of the house. Also, the attic had cooled down several degrees as the night progressed, however the farm house has a metal roof and it had been raining steadily for a few hours accounting for this drop in temperature. Even in the “dead area” in the area between the kitchen and the living room, there had been no anomalous EMF readings. We had not lost battery power in any of the equipment and our cell phones maintained reception in the “dead area”. We had no photographic evidence of any orb in this area and no urine/ammonia smell. None of the “staged” areas were disturbed or “played” with during the investigation.
The digital cameras also picked up some “dust orbs” and little else. The only other thing seems to Mike’s orange orb following him again. It seems a little smaller but other than that it looks like the same color as the one that has been photographed behind him a few other times.
The one area where M.M.I. did collect some intriguing data was in the area of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP).There seem to be voices of several different entities on the voice recorders that were throughout the farm house. However, many of the EVPs came from in or around the unused master bedroom. This may be why Mr. C. has found that no one can get a peaceful nights rest in this room. As far as personal experiences during this investigation, none of the investigators had any bad feelings or were “creeped out” at any time. The only personal experience to document is that of one of the investigators who seemed slightly disoriented and needed direction how to get form one area of the house to another. This is completely out of the ordinary for this investigator who normally has an impeccable sense of direction.
M and M Investigators says: At this time we will say there is at least a little paranormal activity going on in the farm house based on the limited evidence we were able to collect. We will discuss the possibility of a follow up investigation to attempt to collect more data to make a more definitive decision regarding this case.

Several generations of Keisha’s family have lived and died in their close-knit family’s home. Keisha’s acquaintance with one of the M and M Investigators led her to contact us shortly after her grandmother’s passing away in the home, that and the increase in unexplained occurrences. Slamming doors, disembodied footsteps, strange odors, feelings of someone playing with their hair and the kitchen door deadbolt unlocking by itself to name a few. One room in the house had been used as a hospice room when family members were nearing the end of their days on this plane of existence. There is also history of a child having died in this room from “crib death” many years ago when one of the family members operated a day care in the home. Another room upstairs, as well as the two sets of stairs, reportedly has frequent episodes of disembodied footsteps heard walking around.
OUR INVESTIGATION:

Our team set up night vision cameras in the “hospice room”, the kitchen and the stairs. One of the Hi 8 cameras was placed in the upstairs living room and directed down the hall way, covering the second set of steps. The second Hi 8 camera was set up in the upstairs bedroom where disembodied footsteps are frequently heard. Digital and analog voice recorders were placed in the “hospice room”, on both sets of stairs and were carried by the investigators. Digital cameras were used to obtain photographic evidence. Electromagnetic Field readings and temperature readings were taken throughout the house to monitor variances and possible paranormal activity.
Keisha remained to work with our team during the investigation and though many of the investigative processes were new to her, she adjusted quickly and was able to give our investigators more information and insights regarding her family and the activity they were experiencing as the night went on. She was also able to provide a few tips to Matt and I from her background in the electronics field. We appreciate her assistance during the investigation and the electronics tips too.
OUR FINDINGS:
The night vision cameras obtained some interesting anomalies. In the “hospice room”, one of the cameras had been placed on the floor a short distance in front of a treadmill. This camera was somehow able to pick up an audio signal from a radio station. Did the placement near the treadmill create an antenna effect? These cameras are hard wired, not wireless, so we are unable to explain this anomaly at this time. This was the only camera this anomaly occurred with. Also in the “hospice room”, wisps of smoke were noticed on the digital video. There was an occasional odor of baby powder and clean diapers in the “hospice room”. The odor could be quite strong at times. Keisha and two of the investigators noted cold spots in the “hospice room” as if Keisha had a young child sitting on her lap. Similar anomalies were noted in the upstairs living room. The smoke wisps were so real that Keisha asked the two investigators if one of them was smoking! Keisha actually thought she saw one of them with a cigarette in their hand. The odor in the upstairs living room was described as a smelling like cheap cologne or reeking. There were some fleeting cold spots and one of the investigators felt her hair being played with. When she touched her hair, it was very cold. The other investigator and Keisha confirmed that her hair was very cold to the touch. The Hi 8 camera in the upstairs living room had some shadows noted in the hallway beyond the stairs, however we are unable to rule out the interaction between the cameras IRs, a mirror at the end of the hallway and the wall of mirrors behind the Hi 8 camera. The second Hi 8 camera was in a bedroom down the hallway and had a view out of the bedroom’s door. The only shadows noted were seen on the doorframe of the room across the hall caused when Keisha or one of the investigators crossed in front of the IRs of the Hi 8 camera in the living room. Several Class B and Class C EVPs were obtained, one in answer to a question asked about a missing piece of jewelry – “in the black bag.” A couple of pictures taken have some anomalies in them. INVESTIGATION
M and M Investigators set up black and white night vision cameras to cover the living room/enclosed porch area, another room off the living room that also encompasses a portion of the enclosed porch area, the stairs, and one upstairs room that the wife feels uneasy about. A black and white night vision camera was also set up outside after reports by two of the investigators of having a full-form apparition of a man dressed in blue walk past them about ten feet away! Hi 8 cameras were set up in the upstairs room the wife was uneasy about as well as the upstairs bathroom. Digital and analog voice recorders were placed throughout the house and carried by the investigators in attempts to capture any Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP). Digital pictures were taken inside and outside of the home in attempt to photograph any paranormal activity. Electromagnetic Field (EMF) readings and Non-Contact Thermometer readings were also taken throughout the house to look for any variances that may be indicative of paranormal activity.
OUR FINDINGS
M and M Investigators reviewed the data collected from our investigation finding no paranormal activity on the video from the black and white night vision cameras, nor the Hi 8 cameras. The apparition of the man in blue did not see fit to grace us with his presence again. The voice recorders did pick up several EVPs which you can listen to on our EVP page. Unexplained anomalies were noted in only a couple of the approximately two hundred pictures taken during the investigation. One seems to be of a girl in one of the windows. See our ghostly photos page to judge for yourself. There were no anomalous EMF readings noted during the investigation. There were a couple temperature variances in the upstairs room in which the wife feels uneasy. Two of the investigators could feel the coldness move across the different areas where they were sitting (one inside the room, one outside the room). These temperature variances were not corroborated by EMF variations or photographic evidence but this is the area were most of the EVPs were obtained. At one time during the investigation distinct footsteps were heard on the stairs by two investigators upstairs as if someone had come about halfway up the stairs and then stopped. The investigator on the upstairs landing turned to look to see who was coming up the stairs and there was no one there. We called down to the investigator in the living room who reported that no one had been on the stairs and gave us the location of the other two investigators – nowhere near the stairs. Was the old man back inside with us and on the stairs? Again, we were not able to obtain any hard evidence to corroborate this curious personal experience. The other thing that was noticed by two of the investigators was the disorienting sensation on the landing at the top of the stairs. Structural changes have been made during the remodeling that may account for the disruption in the home’s energies or it could have been part of the house from the beginning. Regardless, once reaching the top of the stairs, it felt as though if you did not have your destination firmly in mind, you would end up going the wrong way. This occurred repeatedly during the investigation to several of the investigators.
M and M Investigators says: There is some paranormal activity going on here, especially with the personal experiences had by our investigators actually seeing the apparition of the man outside. It seems that he may not be tied to the house but maybe to the land as well. We were also told after the investigation that the wife has experienced the sensation of having a small presence resting on the foot of her bed. When she described this feeling, her mother thought it sounded like the presence could be a cat. We found no evidence of this presence during our investigation.
